Set Building Party

Attention all creative folks!(and all willing workers) Attention all creative folks! We need your help to transport the children at the Feast to Ancient Babylon. We will gather at the Hollon’s barn for a catered meal at 6:00 PM August 18th, and begin transforming styrofoam into palaces and hanging gardens at sundown. If you can come back on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM, you can help complete the set and see our finished product before enjoying a catered lunch. There will be a sign up sheet available at church so we can prepare the correct amount of food. Please see Stacey Seelig with any questions.

Care Packages

We desire to take care of the less fortunate in our community as God has commanded. Occasionally we will have people stop in during church services requesting assistance.

We will be collecting non-perishable food items (please be sure they are non-perishable), personal care items (including sample or trial sizes and fast food gift cards (in small amounts like $5). If you choose to bring canned goods, please make sure they have a pull off tab. Once we have a sufficient collection of items we will meet after church one week (date to be announced) to make care packages to give out to those who come to us seeking assistance. Look for a collection bin in the back of the church where you can place your donated items.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

Even Prophets are human. How could one man face down 850 false prophets by himself? How could one man cause the death of 450 prophets of Baal and then run for fear of his life from a single woman? Because Elijah was human and subject to the same emotions as all of us. Join us Wednesday, August 22nd at 7:00 PM as we study the story of Elijah, one of the most powerful Prophets of all time.

Please contact Carmen Kincade for additional information.

No Food in Classrooms

We have had a problem with food being left on the tables and floors in the nursery and classrooms. Please do not allow your children to take food into those areas. The leftover food is drawing ants.

Dresses for Orphans

The dresses for orphans sewing ministry will meet August 25th before services. To date, 1,342 dresses have been distributed locally, across the United States, and all over the world.

After Church Clean Up

Please help out! Your faithful service helps keep our church home bright and clean.

There is a sign up sheet available for after church clean up. We need volunteers through the Summer and Fall. Please check your calendars and select a couple of dates that you will be able to help.

Attention All Parents

Parents, please talk with your children about not playing in the new landscaping. The pond and fountain are almost irresistible for children! But the integrity of the structures can be easily damaged. Thanks for your help!

Also, please work with your children to be sure all toys, pillows, food, drinks etc. are cleaned up and put away properly each week. We are blessed to have our own church building -- please help us shine the light of Christ by caring for the building with which He has blessed us.
